The latest url to add to the Education and Learning Networking Stream is from Andy Henon and his master's course evaluation report, 'Presence'. You can access it directly from http://www.actionresearch.net/writings/henon/andyhenonmaevalopt.pdf or from the Master Educators section of http://www.actionresearch.net at:
http://www.actionresearch.net/writings/mastermod.shtml - browse down to the Dissertation section at the bottom.
It is not the usual 20,000 words for a masters dissertation. It is 6,800 words and forms the text based part of the MA as an evaluation report with the artwork making up the rest. The production of artefacts is considered equivalence for submission together with modular project course work assignments and submissions.
If you haven't already accessed Creativity/Works at http://www.actionresearch.net/writings/henon/creativityworkslowah.pdf I think that you are in for a treat. Creativity works is a report from North East Somerset Arts (NESA), in the UK, edited by Andy as lead artist and project manager. I know that several of the artists at Durban University of Technology in South Africa, working with the Self-Study for Transformative Higher Education group, were most impressed with Andy's research. I believe that Andy's communication of 'Presence' with the art work will help many of us who are seeking appropriate ways of representing 'Presence' in our research reports.
(Keep the urls coming - just another month before the 8th World Conference of ALARA (In Melbourne). Details from the What's New section of http://www.actionresearch.net .
Love Jack.
