I am writing a report entitled ‘The Skills for Life ESOL materials: an evaluation’. The main focus of my report is on how these materials position students, e.g. as migrants, workers, citizens, learners of English or family members. I’d like to hear practitioners’ views about this, if possible with reference to specific activities from the materials. I would also like to hear about any activities from global EFL course books that you use in ESOL lessons and how you think your students relate to these materials.
