Hi Jack how are you? I miss you and working on my thesis but life has been
so hectic and I am falling off my feet overworked. But I am really feeling
good with what I am doing and will return to work this weekend. My son ( the
one who did not enlist to the army)was home for a month, and left yesterday
for the east and to see if there is another place he prefers to live, I
don't know when I will see him again. I turned his room into my work room
but it was such a mess, you won't believe, he was up all night and slept all
day. I love him very much but God when he gets home all falls lose. Jack I
will connect my camera again and try to call you. Much love Anat

Last month I promised to post details of how to access Jocelyn Jones'
doctorate as soon
as I received them and you can now read/download the Abstract and Contents
of the
thesis 'Thinking With Stories of Suffering: Towards A living Theory Of
Response-ability',
from:
http://www.actionresearch.net/jocelynjonesphd.shtml
You may recall the congratulatory note sent by Prof. Peter Reason:
"(Jocelyn's) thesis develops a living theory of responsibility, movement,
engagement, withdrawal and self care, a living theory of
"response-ability toward the other". She does this through reflective
explorations of engagement with child protection, war veterans, and her
own history as the child of a war veteran using her own and others'
narratives and visual exploration.
The external examiner describes the thesis as a "fine committed piece of
scholarship". "
The news in the UK is full of shortcomings in child protection after a young
person's death
from abuse. Jocelyn's practitioner-researcher is focused on the development
of a living
theory of response-ability with some of the narratives focusing on child
protection.
Jocelyn's contribution extends and deepens our archive of explanations of
educational
influences in learning and I'm delighted to be able to share this with you.
Love Jack.
