Subject: LET THEM WORK EVENING
Importance: High
Dear Colleague
This is just a reminder that the Yorkshire & Humber TUC are holding a
regional event as part of the National "Let Them Work" campaign, as
follows:
DATE: Monday 14th July 2008
TIME: 5.30 - 6.30pm
VENUE: Regional TUC Offices
3rd Floor
33 Park Place
Leeds LS1 2RY (map and directions
attached)
The campaign is calling for aylum seekers to have the right to work in
the UK, and the TUC are liaising with the Refugee Council to highlight
the plight of asylum seekers who are left in poverty when rejected by
the asylum system.
This event is open to any interested pary and there will be the
opportunity to listen and speak to asylum seekers, and hear first hand
of their experiences.
A buffet and drinks will be provided.
If you are able to come and join us, please complete and return the
attached form. We would also be grateful if you would forward the flyer
to people within your organisation.
Apologies for any cross posting.
Many thanks
Chris Beastall
