Hi Jack,
Recovering from knee surgery at home - stitches out tomorrow -
hurray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really enjoyed the posting on u tube and would like to be an active
participant in a global community of practice of action researchers. For me
at this moment in time I find it very difficult to have a voice for my
research ( of which there is plenty and I think of some significance) as I
am not part of a university. Also as a practitioner its often hard to find
the time and indeed the energy to keep shouting about what you are doing. I
have just completed 1 major piece of post doc research and am about to begin
another and I am trying to find time now my anaesthetic fog is lifting to
write a commentary to accompany the huge amount of film I have.
Are you going to be around all summer? It would be good to catch up - maybe
go for a beer 1 evening.
Love
Marian

producing
I've just enjoyed a visit, here in Bath, from Stewart Hase, the Director of
the Southern Cross
Institute of Action Research. Stewart is moving on from this post in January
2008 to focus on
supporting the global participation of action researchers in the 2009 World
Congress on Action
Learning Action Research and Process Management (ALARPM) in Singapore. You
can see Stewart's
message to us all in the clip on YouTube at:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gy_bAqUUoBY
You will see the url for ALARPM in the information by the video-clip.
Developing our relationships
and sharing our action research accounts while adding to the evidence
gathered during the BERA
practitioner-researcher SIG e-seminars should help to make ALARPM in
Singapore a most
significant event. The last World Congress in Groningen in August 2006
focused attention on the
standards of judgement of action researchers and if we can continue to share
our understandings
and extend our channels of communication between now and 2009 I think we
will be in a position
to celebrate our contributions to the growth of educational knowledge.
I hope you enjoy Stewart's 5 minute video.
Love Jack.
