I'm quite keen on "the lights are on", yes, even together with Barry and
his bad data day! The reason I like it and Barry for basic staff
familiarity is that it gives them a clue without forcing the law down
their throats. Major benefit is that the cost to you is zero.
If you want to get more advanced the British Council has a superb
CD/DVD.
I worked with the BSI to develop basic courses on Data Protection, but
these were generally aimed at the person in the privacy role instead of
staff, and my impression is that you are looking for a coffee break
length item, not a half day session.

Hi all
I am doing a bit of research and am interested to hear if you have
experience of the following:
1. A basic introduction / training on Data Protection - some software
which would be easy to role out (question and answer sort of thing?) 2.
which might also be extended to cover differences in Global DP so people
can select the country they work in and see any major concerns
I am talking simple here - we used to have a package called 'Handle with
care' but I am interested in any experiences you all have.
(am out of the office at the moment - so don't be suprised if you get
that
message) many thanks
Diane
