Yes, we do. On our registration form we say that we routinely give contact
details [and we spell these out ie term and home addresses, email etc] to
the Students association for publication in the Student Assoc directory and
the University's internal email directories. Then we ask 'Do you agree to
this use?' and they put either Yes or No in the box.

No, the Students Association notifies separately.
