This question came up a few times before I linked up with
our local access centre, (which links me to the expertise of
NFCA and helps get assessments through LEAs quickly). Why
not charge for needs assessments? This simple answer is
(hopefully without getting too precious about it) I am
paid a salary to work with students and do not need to
generate income for that salary. Charging an LEA for my
work with a student would essentially be double funding and
would probably not bare too much scrutiny if one were ever
audited.
