Rates vary over the whole country. I would say that they would have to pay
the going rate for lecturers in their college, as FE rates are different
from HE. For information in Manchester tutors currently charge about 20 per
hour. I know it is more in some places, particularly in the south of
England. It also depends on supply and demand. Hope this helps

Subject: pay for learning support
I have had an enquiry from a local college who are trying to
establish a learning support tutor. They are interested in hourly
rates of pay as initially the post will be part time for a few hours a
week. Has anyone got any figures they can give me to pass on.
