Hi all
I've just read Dot Powell's article in Language Issues where she
summarises some of the challenges that we experience in trying to meet
the needs of beginner learners.
Colleagues might be interested to know that I'll be co-presenting a
workshop at this year's Natecla conference in June where we'll be
sharing our experiences of developing a new approach in this work. Jodi
Watson is a natural voice practitioner, and we have been working
collaboratively to build strategies which we hope open up new routes
into learning for some people.
The work is currently an action research project funded by the Education
and Training Foundation/ Emcett programme and we'd be really pleased to
hear from anyone who's also exploring creative/ alternative ways of
teaching and learning.
