Hi All
Sorry for any cross posting but just to let you know that I have just posted a new video at www.elt-training.com. This month I'm focusing on pronunciation; specifically, weak forms in connected speech. This is a major contributing factor to the fact that learners find listening to native speakers difficult and complain that we 'swallow our words' so it's an important area to be aware of for trainees and novice teachers. There is an overview of how and why this happens and a few practical classroom ideas, too. I hope that it's helpful.
Best, Jo
