Subject: Re: How do i~we explain our educational influences in learning to improve our educational influences as practitioner-researchers within the social and other formations that dynamically include us?
A big week ahead with the 2013 Conference of the British Educational Research Association 3-5 September at the University of Sussex. Marie, Je Kan and I submitted a successful proposal for a Symposium on 'Creating Educational Theories Which Engage With Issues of Poverty' in which we are seeking to hold ourselves accountable for living as fully as possible, the values we claim to hold in our explanations of educational influence. Here are our presentations. There is still time to modify them if you can see ways of enhancing them:
Je Kan - Engaging with emotional poverty across cultural boundaries and differences?

Marie - How do I improve what I am doing with a living theory praxis in engaging with issues of poverty?

Jack- Researching To Overcome Poverty With Action Research And Living Educational Theories
http://www.actionresearch.net/writings/bera13/jwbera13sym.pdf
Marie is also presenting the individual papers: How do I contribute to improving educational theory, practice and provision through developing my living-theory-praxis? and Developing inclusive educational theory practice and provision from an educational perspective. I'll send on the urls for these papers as soon as they are on the web.
I am presenting the individual paper: A living logic for educational research:

and Marie and I are presenting the joint paper:
Living-educational-theories as Transformational Continuing Professional Development

As you can see we've been busy ! I know that you won't have the time to read all of these writings, but if you fancy responding to just one of them to see if you can see ways of improving the comprehensibility, strengthening the evidence offered to justify assertions, extending or deepening the socio-historical or socio-cultural influences on our writings and practice, and suggesting ways of strengthening the authenticity of the accounts, we'd be most grateful.
Love Jack.
