Hi all.
The people in this article were some of the hosts on the Channel 4
programme, "Why don't you speak English?" If you didn't see the
programme, the refugee the article is referring to, was a woman from
the Congo, who had spent 15 years in a refugee camp after her entire
village were killed. The English couple's son had also died- he was a
journalist, and died in Afghanistan I think. The couple had also set up
a school to help children to learn English in memory of their son.
Their story was very moving, and they planted a tree for their
Congolese guest in memory of her family.
Part 2 of the programme is on Tuesday.
Happy summer!
Karina
