Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Education (Applied Linguistics & TESOL)
School of Education
Job Purpose
At Leicester we're going places. Ranked in the top 20 universities in Britain our aim is to climb further. A commitment to high quality fused with an inclusive academic culture is our hallmark and led the Times Higher Education to describe us as "elite without being elitist".
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Education (Applied Linguistics and TESOL) to join a vibrant team of applied linguists in the School of Education. This is an exciting opportunity to play a significant role in the delivery and development of our MA and other programmes, and to develop an international research profile. The ability to teach TESOL methodology, from both a theoretical and practical perspective, is an essential requirement, and an interest in sociolinguistics, corpus linguistics, lexis or discourse analysis would be a particular advantage.
A Senior Lectureship would be available for candidates who have already demonstrated a good track record in research, including publications which would form a good REF entry.
The closing date for this post is midnight on 09 April 2013
We anticipate that interviews will take place soon after Easter in 2013.
