CRELLA, the Centre for Research in Language Learning and Assessment at the University of Bedfordshire, is pleased to announce a new series of three Research Seminars on the theme of “Academic English: towards more effective assessment “. The main speakers will be Professor Pauline Foster (St. Mary’s University College) on “The effects of task design on oral performance”, Dr. John Field (CRELLA) on "Cognitive validity and the testing of speaking" and Dr. Fumiyo Nakatsuhara (CRELLA) on “Gathering a priori validity evidence during the development of a speaking test”.
The CRELLA Spring Research Seminar will take place on Thursday 14th March, when the main invited speaker will be Professor Tony Lynch from the University of Edinburgh on the subject of listening and speaking in students' language learning and academic performance.
