Dear Colleagues
Our college is proposing to change from September 2011 from Trinity College London qualifications to City and Guilds qualifications. Has anyone else had direct experience of this type of change?
If so,please could you advise/comment on the following:
1. Your opinion on the quality of C&G ESOL qualifications at all levels.
2. How long does it take to set up the administration and the use of the C&G qualifications, including changing the syllabus, schemes of work, assessment, moderation, training staff and general administration etc.?
3. What would be the recommended lead-in time before the start of the courses?
4. Did it help retention and achievement statistics?
5. Feedback from learners on the C&G quals?
Any other comments/advice would be gratefully received.
