Hi everyone
I'm the manager of a small learning centre which works within a larger community organisation. We have a small SFA contract for ESOL which we're now delivering under the sub-contracting arrangements. Our small size and part-time staff limits our capacity to absorb radical change easily and yet this is what we're now facing. For us a major challenge has been identifying where we might find co-funded learners and we're only having limited success in this so far. We don't have the resources to absorb any shortfall in engagement nor do we have much in the way of bursary funds to allocate, and neither do we have a dedicated publicity team working at this so I wondered if there were any other small providers who were tackling this issue, and how?
we're close to securing an agreement with the local JCP over short ESOL courses for jobseekers but our budget will only balance with the addition of the co-funded learners - help!
Regards
Cliff
