Here's wishing you a most pleasurable and productive New Year from the Lake District in the UK (back in Bath on Thursday) and to say how much I'm looking forward to our developing conversations in 2011. Something rather special happened for me in the postings following Sara's contribution of the 26th December. I felt privileged in being allowed to share insights into what really matters to you in the work that you do. The December 2010 archive contains all your contributions at:
https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A1=ind1012&L=PRACTITIONER-RESEARCHER
and I know that I will return to these for inspiration. Thank you.
Angela - I did like your suggestion for some sustaining and sustainable workshops coordinated by you at the University of Kwa Zulu-Natal. I'm wondering if linking with the Action Research Unit at Nelson Mandela University with Lesley, with Kathleen's work in the Transformative Education/al Studies project, with Joan at Durban University of Technology, with Thenjiwe Mayiwa at Walter Sisulu University and with Pieter at the University of Pretoria, in the Action Research Africa Network might help to strengthen this initiative?
Congratulations to Alon Serper who has been recommended for his doctorate subject to minor typographical amendments from the University of Bath. Alon's thesis is on:
AN ANALYTICAL CRITIQUE, DECONSTRUCTION, AND DIALECTICAL TRANSFORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT
OF THE LIVING EDUCATIONAL THEORY APPROACH
and I hope to make it available on the web in the next few weeks.
Love Jack.
