I'm wondering if we could pool such flows of energy and include our representations of this pooling of energy in our practitioner-research?
For example on December 18th 2002 Peter Mellett led a celebration to mark Jacqueline Delong's graduation with her Ph.D. on 'How Can I Improve My Practice As A Superintendent of Schools and Create My Own Living Educational Theory?'
At 42 seconds into this 46 second clip below there is a spontaneous flow of life-enhancing energy. Jackie is third on Pete's right and I think you will experience the flow of life-enhancing energy in Jackie's laughter - the flow of energy that she brings into her educational relationships.

(you can access Jackie's thesis at at: http://www.actionresearch.net/living/delong.shtml )
With Marie's help Jackie has just created her free spanglefish website at http://www.spanglefish.com/ActionResearchCanada/ and if you click on the Brantford Master's Cohort in Canada you can access three of the practitioner-researcher MA programmes supervised by Jackie and graduating in 2009, from:
Ruth Mills - How Can I Change the Culture of a School?
Anne Nickifuruk - What Are the Metacognitive Strategies That I Can Incorporate Into My Daily Teaching Practice and How Can I Have My Grade 4 Students Use These Strategies to Become More Aware of Themselves as Learners?
Teresa McDougald - What Is the Nature of My Influence as an Educator and How Can I Influence Teachers to Use Assistive Technology in Daily Practice?
This coming Tuesday, at the American Educational Research Association Conference in Denver, Jackie is presenting her multi-media account on 'Engaging Educators in Representing Their Knowledge in Complex Ecologies and Cultures of Inquiry' - you can access this from the 'Jackie's writings' section of her web-site at:

As you make your accounts of your educational influences in learning accessible on the web, as you research to improve your practice and generate knowledge, do please send me your urls so that I can include them in the 'other homepages of interest' section of http://www.actionresearch.net . I'd like to highlight these in the various presentations I'm giving on action research and living theory over the next few months in the lead up to the 8th World Congress of ALARA in Melbourne.
Love Jack.
