Next week I'm due to begin a month's lecture/workshop tour of some South African
Universities. My first keynote is to the Higher Education Learning and Teaching
Association of Southern Africa 2009 Conference, in Johannesburg on the 27 November.
The theme of the conference is on Risk and Resilience in Higher Education and my
keynote is on:
'Risk and Resilience in Higher Education in Improving Practice and Generating Knowledge'.
You can access my latest draft at:

If you have the time and inclination I'd be most grateful for any responses that you think
will help to improve the keynote. You could send the responses if you like to
[log in to unmask] rather than the whole list.
The keynote is part of my research programme as I make public my learning into
enhancing the values and understandings that carry hope for the future of humanity and
my own, through practitioner-research into my question, 'How do I improve what I am
doing?'
You will see that I am asking my audience to engage with Alan's, Joan's, Marie's, Moira's
Marian's, Eleanor's, Je Kan's, Jean's, Jacqueline's and Margaret's ideas in researching their
questions into improving their practice and generating knowledge. I'm hoping that the
keynote will captivate your imagination.
I'm also hoping that you will tell me if it doesn't!!
I've still time to amend it in relation to your suggestions.
Love Jack.
