Welcome to Louise Cripps who joins the list today. I'm smiling at one of Bateson's insights
about humour being essential to social evolution. I've just sent off to Anat, in response to
her interest in resources on learning through love, for a session she is giving at College,
Claire Formby's masters enquiry, 'How do I sustain a loving, receptively responsive
educational relationship with my pupils which will motivate them in their learning and
encourage me in my teaching?' http://www.jackwhitehead.com/tuesdayma/formbyEE300907.htm
I'm feeling the significance of Claire's question in relation to contributing to sustaining a
loving, receptively responsive educational space here in the e-seminar! Alan and Je Kan,
I'm sure you will appreciate your influences here.
Louise is a primary headteacher and you can see a video clip at http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Qu_YSX7SlI0 at the end of a masters session where we
are unaware of the camera. We like the body language between us as we think it shows
mutual recognition and the flow of life-affirming energy between us. The talk in the
foreground masks what we are saying so we can concentrate on the non-verbal
communications. The humour in the group can be appreciated when the card 'We love
Louise' suddenly appears in front of the camera! I'm hoping this space for sharing our
explanations of educational influences in learning, can be sustained and distinguished by
the new living standard of judgment that Je Kan brought into the Academy with his
doctorate:
"An energy-flowing, living standard of inclusionality as a space creator for engaged
listening and informed learning is offered as an original contribution to knowledge."

To all our newcomers - we've weathered a few difficulties over the past few years and
continued to enhance our contributions to educational knowledge. I'm looking forward to
doing the same now.
Love Jack.
