Hi Jean,
Good to hear from you - I was offered retirement because of disability 21
years ago! I am SO glad I didn't take it or I might have missed an exciting
opportunity that has presented itself by email today. I have been invited
to give a keynote lecture on action research at a university in China. With
an invited visit to Japan to develop (on-line) resources for mentoring and
coaching as well this is a wonderful way to semi-retirement. I recommend it!
Thinking about the possible demise of CARPP that is a different issue? CARPP
has been a locus of action research at the University of Bath for years. A
loss of key personnel might herald a potentially major change in direction.
Might the University of Bath now establish a Centre for Living Educational
Theory? Of course retirement does not necessarily mean ending involvement in
an academic life, as you are (and I am too) so energetically demonstrating.
Kind regards,
Sarah
