Welcome to Annette Lopez de Mendez from the University of Puerto Rico who joins the e-seminar
today. One of Annette's publications from 2004 is:
López de Méndez, A. (2004). Reflections of faculty and teacher candidates on the mentoring
process in the creation of e-portfolios in the UPR-PT3 project. In C. Crawford et al. (Eds.),
Proceedings of Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education International
Conference 2004 (pp. 180-183). Chesapeake, VA: AACE.
I think the Abstract will excite many in the e-seminar:
"The University of Puerto Rico PT3 Project at the Faculty of Education, Rio Piedras Campus, has
developed a conceptual model and initial implementation phase of the e-portfolio for teacher
candidates using LiveText as platform, to serve as an instrument for the assessment and
documentation of teacher candidate competencies and the development of key technology skills.
This full paper will present a dialogue between faculty mentors and teacher candidate protégés
who have participated in the e-portfolio component of the PT3 project on their experience and
perspectives on the mentoring relationship that is a fundamental element of the project."
Dear Annette - welcome to the e-seminar. You can access the Archives of the e-seminars at:

If you click on the March 2008 contributions and browse down this month's contributions you will
see the three threads and the lively correspondence on objectivity. Looking forward to sharing
your ideas. Do begin a new thread if you have particular issues you would like to see develop in
the conversations.
Love Jack.
