I don't see how this can work for Universities. If someone applies to do one module of a three module course and produces certification for two prior modules from another awarding body are we obliged to admit them to a course and on completion of the final module award them a Diploma. As I understand it most universities only permit APL|APEL for up to 50% of any award.
Therefore if we refuse entry to someone seeking 66% APEL LLUK/SVUK will refuse to endorse the university concerned.
Have I understood this correctly?

Does this mean that on completion of all modes a full SFL certificate can be delivred by the latest awarding body which recognises prior achievement of units (evidenced by a copy of the certificate of course), more or less as what happens with the Reading test at L1/L2?

Info for the network -sure this will be welcomed
Following a recent QCA meeting where this issue was raised we have been
notified that:
"QCA's requirement is that all awarding bodies offering the ESOL Skills for
Life qualifications must recognise prior achievement of the qualification at
unit (mode) level where this has been completed with another awarding body.
Where a candidate is able to show evidence of having already completed a unit
of this qualification, the candidate should not be disadvantaged by a
requirement to complete a unit of the same title and level with another awarding
body. On completion of a unit of an accredited qualification, a candidate is
entitled to request and receive unit certification from the awarding body".
