Subject: Event: Challenging the invisibility of refugee women
Challenging the invisibility of refugee women
6th December, 10.30am-3.30pm
Hull WISE (Wilberforce Institute for the study of Slavery and Emancipation), University of Hull, Oriel Chambers, 27 High Street, Hull HU1 1NE
We invite you to an exciting regional event aiming to raise awareness of the experiences of refugee women and the barriers they face in accessing services.
The day will include themed workshops on domestic violence, child-care, advice and representation, and employment/training. These will provide the basis for action plans towards more relevant and accessible services for refugee women. Speakers will cover a number of topics, including relevant research and strategies, and ways of giving refugee women a greater voice in policies and services that affect them.
To book a free place, contact [log in to unmask] or phone (0113) 3862207.
