Hi Marie,
Thank you - I accept your apology. I read with horror what you had written as it scored into old
wounds. Then I came across your apology after I wrote just now. Let's move on constructively. I
am delighted to see that Jack and I are both running sessions on multi media.... Mine is to be a
workshop and presentation and I look forward to learning more about Jack's. You see, a history of
aggression and exclusion is not from my side. I stood up and refused to be bullied and harassed
and I make no apologies for that and I have repeatedly invited Jack to collaborate as professionally
we share many core interests with regard to educational research. But it takes courage to do this.
When my Dad in my arms I realised that life is too short for petty feuds and we have a duty to our
fellows to collaborate and share what we know as a way to improving the quality of life for us all.
What aggravates me is seeing students encouraged to post up unvalidated work that I have been
substantially involved in (2 examples recently on Jack's website) being asked to validate accounts
publicly (with my arm twisted up my back?) and when I invited both students to contact me and
come to a more balanced and accurate account I met with being ignored, then downright abuse.
Jack, I hope one day you will shift to collaborate. In the meantime, don't provoke confrontation.
Life is too short. We have better things to do or certainly I have, as part of our BERA community,
Sarah
