Hello again
A message with attachments I'm forwarding from Emma Pearce at ActionAid. ActionAid are working with NIACE on a materials project called Reflect for ESOL, which take a Freirean approach to ESOL pedagogy. I think I saw these materials at NATECLA in the summer, and remember them being very interesting. Emma has asked me to forward the message to ESOL-Research.
Contact Emma if you want to know more.
James

Dear Judith,
I understand that Chris Taylor has told you about the Reflect for ESOL
pilot project that ActionAid is working on with the support of NIACE. I
am attaching a copy of the Reflect for ESOL Resource Materials,
which were published just a few months ago, as well as an invitation
to participate in the pilot project. We are looking for two types of
partner:
* Core partners in four different regions across the UK - these would
be expected to run at least two Reflect for ESOL courses in the 2007/8
academic year. We have already identified a core partner in London
(Tower Hamlets College).
* Self-reporting partners across the UK - colleges and community
centres where ESOL teachers are happy to try out the methods and feed
back on their success or otherwise. We would be pleased to find
partners in the London area.
I would be very grateful if you could publicise this information
amongst your colleagues in the London area.
Do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further information.
With best wishes
Emma Pearce
