Hi Matt (and everyone), As you will imagine I did feel some anxiety as
I followed the postings but this has now been replaced by a flow of
hope in what we are doing together. Please don't feel that your
comments were in any way inappropriate. I received them in the spirit
of care and integrity through which I felt they were offered.
I do believe that the e-seminar, including the recent discussion, has a
wonderful opportunity over the next few months to continue to make a
creative contribution to understandings of standards of judgment in
educational practitioner-research. I'm looking forward to as many of us
as possible sharing our practitioner-researcher contributions at BERA
07 at the Institute of Education of the University of London 5-8
September. Do please access the general details at:
http://www.beraconference.co.uk/ and meet the deadlines dates at:
http://www.beraconference.co.uk/abstracts.html#keydates , for your
proposals!
I know I posted this extract from Mairin's Glenn's doctorate but, given
Mairin's graduation yesterday at Limerick University and the flow of
pleasure in recognising her accomplishment, I think it bears
repeating.....
"A distinctive feature of my research account is my articulation of how
my ontological values of love and care have transformed into my living
critical epistemological standards of judgement, as I produce my
multimedia evidence-based living theory of a holistic educational
practice. Through working with collaborative multimedia projects, I
explain how I have developed an epistemology of practice that enables
me to account for my educational influence in learning." (Glenn, 2006)

Love Jack.
