Hi Jack and all,
Thank you for the welcoming message. I would like to share my thoughts on
the standards of judgment that can be used to evaluate the quality of the
educational knowledge and educational theory generated by
practitioner-researchers.
First of all, the concept of practitioner-researcher is fascinating. I
sometimes think all academic researchers are practitioners, not only the
teacher researcher, as they do research in their own practice, and set up
the standards of judgment for research.
The standards of judgment are more about commitment and engagement. Being
active and dedicated to the area makes for a high standard, because it
generates insight and originality.
Leading the World, and being internationally excellent, both show confidence
and ambition. According to my understanding, people in this discussion are
doing excellently and therefore you guys are taking the lead.
Best wishes,
Annie
