Subject: A BEGINNING FOR THE 2006-7 PRACTITIONER-RESEARCHER E-SEMINAR
We have 123 subscribers on the list to begin the 2006-2007
Practitioner-Researcher e-seminar
on the standards of judgement we use in evaluating the quality of the
educational knowledge and
educational theories we are creating as practitioner-researchers. As
convenor of the Practitioner-
Researcher Special Interest Group of BERA, Brian Wakeman's invitation to
participate in the
seminar is at:
http://www.jackwhitehead.com/bera06/berapr2007.htm
together with details of the seminar.
This year I am hoping that we can include our exploration of the potential
of a Moodle space to
focus on particular themes. You can explore this Moodle space by clicking
on:
http://www.e-lar.net/education/moodle/
then clicking on:
EXPLORING POSSIBILITIES THAT COMMUNICATIONS IN OUR MOODLE SPACE CAN FLOW
INTO THE
2006-7 PRACTITIONER-RESEARCHER E-SEMINAR OF THE BRITISH EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH
ASSOCIATION
and either responding to my opening theme on:
Evidence of living standards of judgement in explanations of educational
influences in our
learning and/or in the learning of others
and/or creating your own theme for discussion.
What I am suggesting that we try to do this year is to retain this
practitioner-researcher e-list for
open correspondences while keeping to a research-based focus on the theme of
the 2006-7 e-
seminar on:
WHAT STANDARDS OF JUDGEMENT DO WE USE IN EVALUATING THE QUALITY OF THE
EDUCATIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATIONAL THEORIES WE ARE CREATING AS
PRACTITIONER-
RESEARCHERS?
in the Moodle Space at:
http://www.e-lar.net/education/moodle/
If you know of other practitioner-researchers who you think have
contributions to make to the e-
seminar do please send on the invitation to join from
http://www.jackwhitehead.com/bera06/berapr2007.htm
Looking forward to sharing our ideas over the year.
Love Jack.
