Dear Paul/Jack/All
I have been pondering on Jane's inspiring and heartfelt message to us all:
there must be a better way to communicate
> than through the destruction of life - it is our collective failure to do so
> that results in events such as this - how on earth can we improve things?
Let us look at this BERA practitioner researcher list as a microcosm - with a
potential to communicate - and to improve things ... How far are participants
listening and taking heed of one another? How far are we having simultaneous
conversations that actually exclude rather than sharing ideas and 'growing on'
I like Paul's imagery here though I cannot agree with him in all he posts up.
I respect your work as a practitioner, Paul and I grieve to hear of your fear.
Can we be blind to the fact that at times there is willful destruction on this
list too - there is the silence when some of us post, an overt lack of respect
which is the more poignant when I see us discussing AR as spiritual practice. I
am delighted, Jack, that your son Jonathan and your wife Joan are safe and now
you have time to reflect on why you decline to engage with some postings if you
believe in inclusion and want us to know you for your living humanity.
