Hi Jane - You are right about it being possible to construct conversation threads that allow
conversations to develop in a coherent fashion. All that needs to happen is that the contributors to a
particular thread should always use the Reply button and not the Post a new message button.
The 'post a new message button' does just that - it starts a new thread. I hope this helps.
On Monday evenings in Bath, beginning practitioner-researchers and practitioner researchers who
are working on non-accredited enquiries, masters enquiries, doctoral enquiries and postdoctoral
enquiries find it possible to share ideas in ways that they say they find mutually supportive and
helpful. You will find the details of these conversations at:
http://www.bath.ac.uk/~edsajw/monday.shtml
One of the review questions we might look at we move towards the end of the seminar on the 23rd
July is whether our communications are experienced as mutually supportive. If they aren't we could
work at improving this.
Love Jack.
