Another three days to go before we move into the review phase of the explanations
of learning from practitioner-researchers. This phase will focus on improving our
understandings of the criteria we use to assess quality in practitioner-research. So,
do please check the archives to see that you have made available the
(evidence-based) explanations for your learning. I appreciated Je Kan
Adler-Collins' 8 line entry with the url that takes us to his explanation of learning and
the evidence base in his masters dissertation.
While we can add to the data archive of our explanations throughout the e-seminar,
I've asked Peter Mellett to start the review phase on the 18th June. Peter carried out
the BERA review of Research-Based Professionalism and Action Research in 1999
- see http://www.bera.ac.uk/ri/no67/ri67events1.html for details.
Included in the review phase will be: the practitioner-researcher accounts in the four
volumes of Passion in Professional Practice - see the frontpage of
http://www.actionresearch.net ; the living theory theses at
http://www.bath.ac.uk/~edsajw/living.shtml and the masters units and dissertations at
