Dear Helen
We have a free e mail newsletter produced quarterly which is open to
your staff to subscribe to. We also don't mind you posting a link on
your intranet site as long as the newsletter itself remains as it is
published and the source is acknowledged.
Many of our public sector clients have done one of the above.
Please see our website for full details and back issues.
Regards

FOI and DP in our organisation falls under the combined title of
"Information Governance", which itself falls under the larger umbrella
of "Knowledge Management". We issue a quarterly newsletter for all of
KM and make sure there are at least two or three inclusions on DP/FOI.
We used to have our own 2 sides of A4 newsletter but frankly no-one took
a blind bit of notice of it. DP/FOI has an incredibly high "yawn"
factor! What has worked much better is silly frivolous stuff such as
cartoons, daftest FOI request of the month, and quizzes. Last month's
quiz was "what does your filing say about you" which is in preparation
for the launch of our new Records Management software... Mostly As makes
you a "hopeless hoarder", mostly Bs and you're an "anal archivist",
mostly Cs etc., etc. The month before we had "ten weird things you
never knew about DP". I could fax them to you if you like.....

Does anyone have any examples of Data Protection Newsletters they have
produced for staff re continued awareness and compliance?
Thanks
