Dear all
Following my appeal in November, I am still searching for student
contributors (see below). Do any of you know of any disabled students who
would like to write about their experiences of studying? Many thanks to all
those who got in touch before. I would now be particularly pleased to hear
from deaf students or students with dyslexia, and any disabled student in
Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. Skill always seeks to represent
individuals with a variety of different backgrounds in order to give a
fuller picture.
Here's the brief, once again...
Skill is collecting student profiles for next year's edition of
Into HE, for entry in 2002. Many of you will be familiar with the drill for
these. We are looking for upbeat accounts (750 words) from students with
disabilities about their experience of studying and the challenges they have
faced and overcome. We need to get a wide range of representative voices
from HE students across the country, and therefore want to hear from people
with different disabilities studying different subjects etc. If list members
can think of anyone suitable please ask them to contact me and I can discuss
the opportunity further with them. Alternatively, I can supply further
information detailing the requirement for you to display somewhere on
campus.
Many thanks in anticipation of your help and suggestions.
