I believe that someone mentioned they were seeking
clarification on the position when an institution provides
a confidential reference for use within the same
institution, ie although the reference remains confidential
at the giver's end, how should the reference be treated in
terms of disclosure to the subject of the reference when
the recipient is not an outside third party?
I am involved in a joint dp presentation next week and the
subject of confidential references is always brought up and
I would like to pre-empt this question, or at least have an
answer to it. Does anyone have any views on this?
