A tenant has moved to another premises. His ex-landlord has reported to Social Services that due to the state of the house when he left he is concerned about the children. Social Services have asked Council Tax for details of their new address and details of the children (ages etc).
Is there any law governing Social Services which means Council tax have to disclose - or any DP exemption ? I am not happy about disclosing the children's details as I feel that this is up to Social Services to find out when they investigate. However, they cannot investigate unless they know the new address. I am also concerned that the ex-landlord may just have a grudge against the family.
Any guidance gratefully received
