Hi Malcolm
I don't know about geeky, but the sighted helper is already in place (and he
is into music). Jane's enquiry relates to our quest not only to arrange
access to the curriculum but also to make that access as independent as
possible.
Thanks to everyone who has helped so far.
Cheers
Iain

Hmm I think you have your work cut out on this one.
I'll try and have a look but I'm not hopeful, Logic
is hard enough to get to grips with on its own without
any disability (I know I have it) In fact Cubase on the
PC has been one of the few screen reader friendly
applications virtually all others are not.
Supercollider is an Object Orientated real time music programming
language based on Smalltalk... (that's as simple as it gets
without geek speak). The best thing for this student would
be a geeky sighted helper whose into music.
I'll do some searching and testing and get back to you.
How urgent is this?
Regards Malcolm (composer and music technology geek)

Can anyone advise on the correct kit for incorporating applemac, screen
reader, firefox (constant access to internet), logic, supercollider? Is
the Voice Over screenreader on Mac up to the job? Can it be tweaked to
work smoothly with firefox because this seems to be one of the main
problems? I'm not very techie so answers in English please! Thanks Jane
