I would say it's perfectly ok to supply new tenants' details to the local
authority, provided those tenants have given their positive, informed
consent to the disclosure, and the consent is not a condition of the
tenancy.

Subject: Info Sharing Protocol
Hello all.
Can you help with below query.I am not to sure about it. Does the project
count as an information-sharing protocol?
Camden are launching a new initiative that they would like us to be
involved with. It is a project where they will be targeting new tenants to
RSL's.
Basically the team will contact our tenants - most likely in person where
possible and explain the project to them, which is designed to help them
get in to work - the long and short of it, is that they are now taking
theie service to the people rather than the other way around in the hopes
that it will engage more people and get more tenants in to work.
Thus I would ask if it is ok under the data protection act and policy etc
etc if it's ok if we can supply the the details of our newly moved in
tenants back to camden - specifically this project group to complete the
visits.
Thanks
