This debate appears critical to assuring the privacy of individuals in the
work environment.
Many companies will, for survival purposes, admitted or not, monitor e-mail
traffic in some way. Many discussions on automatic e-mail filtering have
occurred.
Is not what is sauce for the goose, sauce for the gander? So should a
subject access requestor not be entitled to access to business e-mail which
might relate to them? If not, should businesses be able to access the
content of e-mail on their systems?
