Steve Bailey's message on 4th October announced the JISC project to
produce new editions of the HEI Function & Activity Model and the HEI
Records Retention Schedule, which were originally published in the Study
of the Records Lifecycle in 1999.
The first phase of the project includes a consultation exercise to
obtain feedback on the current Model and Schedule and to capture ideas
for development and improvement. Over the next three months, I will be
approaching records managers, archivists, administrators, Data
Protection Officers and others in the HE sector for their views.
To help inform this work I would like to hear from anyone else on the
list who
* has used the HEI Function & Activity Model and/or the HEI
Records Retention Schedule
* is aware of the Model and Schedule but has not used them
and who would be willing to take part in the consultation exercise.
If you are interested, please contact me off-list for more information.
