Claire,
maybe this reference can help ...
Myles, B.S. and Simpson, R.L. "Asperger Syndrom : a guide for
educators and parents" Austin, TX : Pro-ED, 1998.
We had some students with a autistiform disorders. We always worked
close with the professors in helping them to structurise the
educational context and the comminication in the classroom. We
adviced them regulary how to communicate with these students. It's
not always evident, but the basic idea is keep the communicating
simple and clear with these students. It helps them a lot if they
could have information on paper or in a fac-to-face contact. But the
problem with this 'disorder" is that it's a varying syndrome... there
are no two asperger having the same symptoms ... Helping these
student is a very creative challenge !
