Our registry only include students who declare receipt of DSA at
admission/enrolment.
Student Services does update other HEMIS data on disabled students, but
not DSA data. Also, like many others, we are not aware of all students
in receipt of DSA, so can not easily update this data field. Even those
students for whom I negotiate the DSA funding do not necessarily inform
me, and many LEA's fail to do so (including our local LEA).
Could LEA's be required to inform the institution of all DSA grants, and
could registries be informed from an official source (such as HEFCE) of
the proposed use of this data?
