At Bristol University the library has purchased some
vibrating pagers. They have posted notices on the entrance
doors to ask students with hearing difficulties to request
a pager from the porters. When leaving the library they
return the pager to the porter.
The pagers vibrate and display relevant safety messages
whenever the alarms sound. They also have flashing lights
based around the library.
Hope this is helpful.
