The University of Manchester are looking to employ a new Disability
Adviser due to the early retirment of the current post holder.

DISABILITY SUPPORT CO-ORDINATOR
Applications are invited for the post of Disability
Support Co-ordinator to provide a quality support
service to students with disabilities. It is expected
that the person appointed will have a proactive
practical approach to the provision of advice and
support for individual students and will also address
disability issues more generally through, for example,
the development of policies and procedures, raising
staff awareness and producing publications. Applicants
should be qualified to degree level or equivalent and
have experience of working with people with a
disability and an understanding of the specific needs
of students. Excellent interpersonal, communication
and organisational skills are essential together with
experience of information technology applications.
Salary will be on the scale for Administrative Staff
Grade 2 (£18,275 to £23,651 per annum under review).
