Karen
Whilst not entirely meeting your needs the attached Word 97 document forms a
specific
agreement with each supplier of goods or services regarding confidentiality.
In each case
the supplier is requested to confirm understanding and acceptance by signing
and
returning the final page. A new copy is sent out each time a contract is
either established
or renewed.
I realise it will require some minor amendments to meet the needs of the new
act but
the nature of our work has meant that such agreements have been needed for
some time.

Subject: Clauses
As it appears that confidentiality agreements alone will not be sufficient
anymore to show a data controller's compliance with the legislation, does
anyone have, and would be willing to share, some 'straightforward' clauses
which can be inserted in contracts between
1) a company and a supplier of goods/services
2) a company and its employees
3) a company and its customers
which detail the DP responsibilities of the second party where the
disclosure
of data from the company in the normal course of business is concerned ..?
Thanks in advance
