Rebecca,
At Nene College, we use Connevans fire alarm pagers for students in hall of
residence. They can put these under the pillow at night, but I have had
reports that they may not be fully reliable, and the students need to make sure
the battery is OK. They would not be suitable for anyone who also has a visual
impairment.
Our Works Department has also installed flashing light beacons, wired ino the
fire alarm system, for deaf students who want this as well.
The system The Summit Smokie Smoke Detection System that Matin mentioned would
be worth looking at - can I have details of the supplier please Martin?
