<Does anybody know of an information guide which lists facilities
available at all the universities, e.g. which Unis have access buses
for wheelchair users, which Unis have portable induction loops, which
Unis have an educational psychologist to assess dyslexia?
I have tried going to the home pages of Unis up and down the country,
and some do not even list a disability services officer on the home
page, although 'Services' is taken to cover a very wide range of
other things. In others the information is not available from the home
page but is available using the search facility. >
Has anyone every collated this kind of information?
Anne-Denise (Leeds Uni)
Anne Denise,
The University of Southamptom produced a database 'ENTER' a couple of years
ago with details of technology and services for 80% of HE
Instsitutions. I dont know if it has been updated. Contact The
Centre for Human Service Technology at Southampton 01703 593536 0r E
mail [log in to unmask]
Alternatively CANDO at Lancaster University are collating all the HE
Disability Statements and putting them on the Internet.
Both of these mean ploughing through information but at least all in
one place!
