We look at each case individually: the need to assess the student's
competence being one of the high priorities on our criteria for
consideration. To give an example, a 1st year student who is very computer
literate but who has only been using VAPC since December is still a novice
in use and has therefore been granted 45% extra time to cover this and some
short breaks!
