Can I support Yishay's comments. I had one student some years ago who
had concerns that are normally placed within the dyslexia construct. She
insisted that a tape recorder was the thing that she needed - it wasn't
- the amount of sorting out and identification of key headings/arguments
etc. that was needed without any assistance was too much for her and she
quickly accepted our suggestions that lecturer's provided clearly
presented notes from their lectures which most are happy to do.
